I was born in Sousse, Tunisia. I spent a fair bit of my childhood moving around from place to place, as my father was a civil engineer working on infrastructure projects of various sorts around the world. I spent six years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I went to high school. My undergraduate degree is from Princeton University, in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Ricardo Sanfelice is Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz. After academic stops at UC Santa Barbara, MIT, École de Mines de Paris, and University of Arizona, he joined the Baskin School of Engineering in 2014 where he leads the Hybrid Systems Lab at UCSC. Tae Myung Huh received a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2014, and an M.S., a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering in 2016 and 2020 from Stanford University. Then, he researched at UC Berkeley as a postdoctoral researcher.
