Filippo Gianferrari is Associate Professor of Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He received a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from the University of Notre Dame, and an MA and BA from the University of Bologna. Before joining USCS, he taught at Vassar College and Smith College.
