Soumya Bose's research focuses on analog & mixed-signal integrated circuit (IC) design for low-power systems. He is interested in developing intelligent portable devices for energy-constrained biological and environmental sensing.

From 2013 to 2015, he worked for Rambus, where his work on high-speed integrated circuits led to the invention of an adaptive data receiver for a multi-modal PHY. In 2018, he was with Kilby Labs, Texas Instruments, where he contributed to the development of an industry leading nano-power LDO. From 2019 to 2024 he was with Intel Corporation, where he was a research scientist at Intel Labs and worked on power delivery, photonic interconnects, and chiplet interfaces. In 2025 he started his research group, BRICS at UC Santa Cruz.

Dr. Bose's research work has been published in premier IEEE circuits conferences and journals. He has got several granted/pending patents. He received the 2017 CDADIC best poster award, 2014 IEEE TechSym best presentation award, and the 2024 Intel Labs DRA award. Dr. Bose served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs from 2021-2023 and is a reviewer for multiple IEEE journals and conferences.
