Biography and Education:
I am an Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Baskin School of Engineering at University of California, Santa Cruz. I work in the team of Prof. Marcella Gomez on Wound Healing project. My recent research focuses on transcriptomics data analysis and wound stage prediction, modeling of wound healing to find optimal treatment regimes.
For many years I worked at National Research Center for Hematology in Moscow in the laboratory for Mathematical Modeling of Biological Systems (head Prof. G.Th. Guria) where my main research was around blood coagulation problems.
I graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 2003 and defended my candidate thesis in 2009 at Moscow State University.
Research Interests:
- Mathematical modeling of biological systems, biophysics, nonlinear dynamics.
- Data analysis: transcriptomics, proteomics, data-based predictive models.
- Biological applications: wound healing, blood coagulation.
