I work at the intersection of hydrology and water management. I have built and applied hydrologic models - ranging from simple conceptual models to sophisticated integrated hydrologic and weather models - to answer scientific and water management questions. I also work with water resources operations and planning models to better understand how the underlying hydrology of a river system is translated into managed outcomes downstream. While I started my career modeling and helping to manage interconnected groundwater and surface water in Nebraska, I have spent the last decade focusing my efforts on California's Central Valley.
