Biography, Education and Training

Ami Chen Mills-Naim (also, Ami Chen Mills), she/her/they is author of State of Mind in the Classroom, The Spark Inside and CIA Off Campus. She has been an educator for 30 years in community settings, in schools and at universities, with all age groups, and in correctional and probation settings for youth and adults. She is an instructor and coach on resilience, innate mental health and healing for private individuals, and educators, as well as for governmental and non-profit institutions. Ami has decades of public speaking, publishing and conference presentations in her background and is currently host of the ongoing radio program and podcast "Moment of Truth with Ami Chen Mills," and a founder of the "Moment of Truth Disptach" on Substack. She has deep experience in community resiliency, education, activism, and working with youth. Ami is also a journalist, with several awards for environmental and investigative journalism.
