Biography, Education and Training

I have my masters in public health from the University of San Francisco, where I focused on effective health communication, social marketing and audience engagement in community settings.

My passion for working in educational settings began during my undergraduate education at UC Santa Barbara, where I worked for the school’s Disabled Student Services program. After college, I went on to lead a COVID-19 contact tracing team at Foothill College, providing guidance and support to students and staff. I also enjoy conducting and communicating about research, having worked on a research team to develop a digital health and wellness program for healthcare workers. Most recently, I worked for a Bay Area sports team in a traditional marketing and social media role, where my favorite aspect has been designing creative and fun content.

I am thrilled to join the communications team at Baskin School of Engineering because it blends my experiences working in higher education, research and social media. I am especially interested in the ways engineering intersects with public health and I look forward to helping communicate the work of Baskin Engineering to different audiences.

Outside of work, I am an avid cyclist and in my free time, you can find me lap swimming, reading, doing craft projects and spending quality time with friends. Born and raised in Santa Cruz, I grew up coming up to UCSC for Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and youth symphony concerts, and I have a deep appreciation for the University. I am excited to be back on campus and join the community at Baskin Engineering.
