Biography, Education and Training

Pranvera Hyseni is a Ph.D. candidate in Earth and Planetary Sciences at UC Santa Cruz. Her research focuses on the composition and evolution of asteroids and planetesimals, from small bodies in our Solar System to the material observed in debris disks around other stars. She uses infrared spectroscopy of asteroids, meteorites, and debris disks to study aqueous alteration, hydrated minerals, and organic matter, with the broader goal of understanding the evolution of water-rich planetary material across planetary systems.
