Thomas is an experienced international speaker, executive coach, management consultant, and board member of various multinational organizations.
His consulting interests include mergers and acquisitions, business development, social entrepreneurship, social enterprises, and ecosystem development. Additionally, he provides executive coaching.
Before his current roles and activities, Thomas held roles as a mergers and acquisitions strategy advisor and executive with McKinsey, EY, KPMG, and General Electric (GE) across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
He is also currently a Lecturer in the Economics Department at the University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC) and in the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business and Department of Psychology at San José State University (SJSU).
He earned his Ph.D. at the University of California at Davis with an emphasis on Learning and Mind Sciences. He was also awarded a Master’s of Business Administration in International Business and a Master’s of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Miami in Coral Gables (Miami), Florida, as a part of an accelerated dual degree program.
He is also an avid mountaineer and ice climber.
