As a Professor of Teaching, I advance the university’s mission of educational excellence by integrating evidence-based, equity-centered practices into STEM education, with the goal of creating inclusive and engaging learning environments for all students. I teach across undergraduate and graduate curricula, work on curriculum planning and design, and mentor students and future educators in ways that center authentic learning, growth, and long-term success. My scholarly work focuses on improving teaching professional development for graduate teaching assistants, in partnership with the Teaching and Learning Center. My institutional leadership is centered on faculty development, including my former role as Director of the Emerging Leaders Fellows Program and my ongoing mentorship of faculty across the division.

I am currently working on a project to enhance teaching professional development for graduate teaching assisntants in biology.
