My first book is on the accomplishment of femininity among beauty pageant contestants (misses) and transgender women (transformistas) in Venezuela. He focuses on the racial and queer politics of American imperial militarism in Asia and its diasporas, with special attention to under-theorized regions of the so-called “war on terror,” e.g. Pakistan and the Philippines.
