Marilyn Walker, is a Professor of Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz, and a fellow of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL), in recognition of her for fundamental contributions to statistical methods for dialog optimization, to centering theory, and to expressive generation for dialog. Bing Liu is a Research Scientist Manager at Meta. He is affiliated as an adjunct professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Bing research focuses on machine learning for natural language processing and conversational AI systems. At Meta, his team works on Llama, Meta's open source large language model, and its application to conversational agents.
