I am the 2024 president-elect of the Sociologists for Women in Society (SWS). I an on the faculty of the Department of Latin American and Latino/a Studies at UC Santa Cruz. I am also the founder and director of UC Santa Cruz's Human Rights Investigations Lab for the Americas.

Grace Peña Delgado is Associate Professor of History and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is a historian of borderlands and migration in nineteenth and twentieth-century North American. Matt Sparke is a Professor of Politics at UCSC. He was was born in Tonbridge, England in 1967.
